In partnership with the American Psychiatric Association Foundation (AMAF), and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Esme is an animated short film followsEsme, an Asian-American woman struggling with her mental health

The film navigates themes of bi-cultural identity, the “model minority” myth, and stigma around mental illness, along with imbuing a personal touch through cultural specifics. We worked hard to be inclusive, producing the film in both English, as well as Mandarin Chinese.
